A New Dawn (Episode 12)

Episode 12

I love you father, I serve you with all my heart, will you please bring back my joy for me. She is my joy father, she is.

The tears were dropping as she screamed in her head, she needed answers. She wanted answers. ‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son and that who so ever believeth in him would not perish but have everlasting life’ John 3:16.

Another scripture dropped in her spirit and more tears began to drop. ‘I am sorry Daddy’, she said in her head. I know you love me,for you to even leave your only son and he suffered that much, he was without sin. I am sorry father and I say thank you father.

‘I know you’re still grieving daughter and I want you to know I feel everything you feel’ said a voice to her. ‘Then why put us through this father, why?’ ‘I know you wouldn’t like it at first but I put you in storms not to drown you,but to make you strive and be a better person’,the Holy Spirit replied her.

‘God is faithful who will not suffer you to be tempted above all that ye are able:but with the temptation also make a way to escape ,that ye may be able to bear it’ 1Corinthians 10:13. Another scripture dropped in her spirit.

‘ I knew you would find a way to go through it because that was what I planned.Dorothy Solomon, when you cry I cry, when you laugh I laugh. I am always here all the time’,the voice said again.

She felt an immeasurable peace within her, this is the longest she had conversed with the HolySpirit in her life. She felt refreshed. All those things her pastor said about when not being able to pray and you cry or groan that God understands they must be true.

But this time around it was her grieve which led to this communication. God is real. She looked at her husband and saw worries all over his face, she knew how guilty he felt about not being there for them all this past years but she knows everything will fall into place. She could see a sign already.

Everything began to make sense to her already God made Shola’s sickness bring her husband back to her. He forgave them for not been the best of parent to their kids. And also used Shola’s death to make Kola give his live to Him. She just imagined if that didn’t happen, she would have gotten frustrated and went out with Kola.

That would have broken their family and she would have lose her place with God . Her kids would have become wayward.
She looked at her husband as he sat on the chair and was staring at her, he said something but couldn’t hear any sound rather she only saw his moving mouth. She didn’t know when she slept off.

A loud sob woke her up not quite long after she slept. She turned from the bed and squinted her eyes so that it could adjust to the light in the room. She saw her daughter cry and put her head on her husband’s lap. While her husband was patting her back and saying ‘sorry,I will be the best father as from now on’. Her daughter raised her head and hugged her Father.

She smiled and knew that a new sun is about to rise in her family. She closed her eyes and drifted off, she couldn’t wait to wake up to a new dawn and feel the sun on her face early the next morning.

The End.
