The stitched part on his forehead revealed he had gone through a very life-threatening accident. His two hands and legs were handcuffed. He had no fingers again, it was as though they were chopped off. He was brought forward by a man with no smiling face. He had no calmness, all eyes were on him as he stood before them.
As if they knew he would be brought forward, immediately every child sitting by their parents had fear written all over them. Some of the children had some parts of their bodies maimed. It was such a gory sight to see. Every parent held onto their child as “the accused” was brought forward. It wasn’t a courtroom nor was it the disciplinary committee or a panel about to pass a judgment. It was just a gathering of people who thinks “the accused” had done something inhumane and needs to be punished for it.
“The Accused” suddenly shouts, looking sternly at each kid and asking them to leave. Some of the kids ran out in fear because he had control over them while some stayed behind looking back at him intently. It was as though he had no hold on them anymore.
When he, the accused was queried on why he did what he did to these children. He states, ” the mind is a fertile ground, such that whenever you feed it with what it likes, it will grow. The more you pay attention and nurture it, the more growth it brings”.” So, be it good or bad seed, it will grow. These children already had the thoughts in their minds, I gave each one what he wants and here we are”.
A glimpse at each child would hurt any human because the accused did such an inhumane thing to them. He had given each child a cut in different parts of the body. He had amputated some hands, put scars on some faces, and some had deep cuts on their legs. It looks so hurtful as their parents watched “The Accused” stand before them without remorse.
We are all like these kids who innocently think something in our minds then the devil gets hold of these thoughts and changes them. He allows you to build on these thoughts, you nurture them and it grows. Then he paints it with beautiful scenes of things you can gain from it, he promises you crumbs, shows you what looks like the big picture, takes your focus from the real picture and then your heart yearns for the fulfilment of these thoughts. You forget to tell your parents(God) if these things you’re offered are the real deal or if you should await the real bread.
You could not wait for the cake so you stole the icing. And when you start wanting more or you start purging, you realised that these don’t look like the real picture but a facade of the whole picture. The devil can’t give something without collecting it back, you couldn’t continue with your bargains so like the kids you stopped doing his bidding. Because he knows if he hurt you(he cut the kid’s body and gave them scars), you would beg him for mercy that you would keep up with what you had to offer.
You couldn’t keep up so you run back to your parents (God) who received you with open arms and was ready to help you fight “The Accused”. The Accused became the accuser because he accused you of breeding the thought of it all right from the beginning and loving his bargain.
Guard your heart, guard your mind, your mind is very powerful. It all starts from the mind, your thoughts direct your life. Don’t allow the devil to use it against you, feed your mind at all times with the word of God. You’re with God now so he had no hold on you. Your past might be what the devil brings to God, remember that you’re with God now and remembers your sins no more. So God got you. You are not a slave but a son, you are no longer a slave to fear. Use your rights as a son. Think positively, Think God at all times.
